At NC Planning we are proud to have many attorneys who have received awards, honors, and community recognitions. Our attorneys have received both local awards and state awards, including Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite and Super Lawyers. The Business NC winners are chosen by fellow attorneys who currently practice law in the state. They are asked the simple question, “Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best in these categories?” Attorneys cannot vote for themselves or anyone within their firm. Similarly Super Lawyers criteria for voting is that attorneys are asked to “nominate the top lawyers they have personally observed in action, whether as opposing counsel, co-counsel, or through other firsthand observation in the courtroom.” Again attorneys cannot vote for themselves, can only make 21 nominations, and cannot solicit votes from other attorneys.
