Having friends over to watch some ACC basketball this weekend? Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early? If you’re looking for a crowd-pleaser, this Jalapeno Dip is certainly it!  I have made this recipe so many times for gatherings as the requests for it are never ending! Surround yourself with friends and family this weekend so you can share and enjoy this delicious dish!

Jen’s Jalapeno Dip

By Jennifer Sweazy

Ingredients:
(I have found that using generic brands of the cream cheese and mayo make the dip very oily, so please use the brands specified)

3 blocks of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened (Let sit out for 2-3 hours prior)
1 cup Hellman’s Mayo
½ cup parmesan cheese
4 oz. can of chopped green chiles
6 oz. of chopped jalapenos (I use “hot” jalapenos as it gives it a nice kick!)
Shredded cheese
Pepper and garlic powder, to taste

Mix all the ingredients together. If the cream cheese is lumpy, use a utensil to break up. Put in a 8 ½ x 11 baking dish (do not spray the bottom of the dish). Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes. (I usually stir halfway through to break it up). Bake until the edges are a little brown. Serve with Tostitos or crackers. Enjoy!!
