Clayton joined the firm in February 2023 and is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Texas. Clayton attended Texas A&M University for undergrad and South Texas College of Law Houston in Houston, Texas for law school, where he graduated cum laude.
Clayton began his legal career working as a criminal prosecutor in Smith County, Texas where he gained invaluable trial experience and communication skills. Clayton then relocated from Texas to Raleigh in 2021 to be closer to his family. After moving, Clayton began working for a prestigious boutique commercial real estate firm in Raleigh where he primarily represented commercial real estate developers and investors. This experience honed his skills of being a problem solver first for his clients in addition to being an expert drafter of any legal document your business may need.
Clayton focuses on business and corporate law and commercial real estate for his clients at NC Planning and believes that honest straightforward communication and hands-on planning is the best approach to achieving his client’s business goals.
On the personal side, family is incredibly important to Clayton. Clayton also enjoys golf, fitness, reading, real estate investment, dogs and chess.
